You may know the amazing benefits of matcha when you consume it, but did you know there are just as many benefits to using it in your skincare routine?

Matcha has high levels of EGCG which helps even skin tone and reduces inflammation. Matcha also has antioxidants that help reduce acne, oil build up, and can even help improve skin elasticity which reverses the look of aging. The antioxidants found in matcha also help boost blood circulation which gives you that gorgeous glow when applying it to the skin. KITAO MATCHA has perfected adding matcha into skincare.

All products found in the line use clean ethically sourced organic matcha sourced right from Kyoto Japan. Their ‘MATCHA & Chia Exfoliating Gel’ has been one of my favourite products on the market. The ingredient list is amazing and contains ingredients like matcha, chia seed, acai, and quinoa. These ingredients help with anti-aging, firming, brightening, and cleansing. This gel feels amazing and doesn't strip the face at all! It is the perfect first step to cleansing my face especially for someone like myself who wears sunscreen. The gel is unscented and is perfect for anyone with sensitive skin.

My next favourite from KATAO MATCHA is the ‘MATCHA & Chia ESSENCE LOTION.’ This product has done wonders for my skin, and I am absolutely obsessed. The ingredient list is similar to the gel, but the ingredients work in different ways. The product hydrates the face so well and gives the appearance of flawless glass skin. I use this essence as the third step to my skincare routine just after my toner, and cannot go a day without using it.

Hi, my name is Neikko and I am a 22 year old content creator from Ontario, Canada. I have been obsessed with skincare and health for the last 4 years and have incorporated both into my everyday life, and what I share on social media. You can usually find me at a matcha cafe vlogging for my YouTube channel, or finding the newest skincare secrets. Matcha has been a part of my daily routine for years now, and my day feels off without having a warm glass of ceremonial grade matcha and hot water.
My love for skincare really took off when I did a semester abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea where I was introduced to the world of a different side to health, beauty and skincare. I am excited to pursue my passion for sharing wellness to the world and am excited to see what the future holds for me.
